Happy Monday Guys!
I can officially say I graduate this week. I feel like that just snuck up on me. This past Friday I met up with a couple of friends for a pre-graduation/Cinco de Mayo celebration. We had such a good time. The weather was perfect. We caught up on life, laughed, and ate good food. Precisely what I needed.
I know it’s been a while since I brought you guys a Snack Easy roundup, so I’m fixing that with today’s post. There were more hits than misses in this one so you’ll want to make a list for your next grocery trip!Snack: Think Thin Cupcake Batter Bars
Purchased at: Target
Price: $5.49 (sale price)
Repeat Purchase: Without even thinkingFirst up are these Think Thin Bars. They kind of blew me away with their flavor. I didn’t start off with high expectations, but these came through for my taste buds. Absolutely, definitely, (and already) a repeat purchase. It has 5 grams of fiber per bar which is actually pretty decent for the fiber snob in me, 150 calories, and 10 grams of protein. This one is soooo good. Get it now, thank me later.
Snack: Sriracha Kale Chips
Purchased at: Walmart
Price: $5
Repeat Purchase: Definitely, just not regularlyThis is seriously good. The chili pepper and cashews put this over the top for me in flavor. It is pricey though. One container is $5 dollars at Walmart and only has two servings. So while I’ll most likely buy it again, it won’t be with any sort of regularity. I see myself getting this as like a travel snack. But actually, as I’m typing this, I’m thinking I could probably make it myself (hmmm). Anyway, one serving has 100 calories, 2 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of protein. But no one will judge you if you polish off the container by yourself. That just means more fiber:)
Snack: Parmesan Garlic Cauliflower Snack
Purchased at: Walmart
Price: $5.00
Repeat Purchase?: Not a chance
Don’t waste your time. Unlike the Think Thin Bars I did have high expectations for these based on the description and they fell flat. They left a weird taste in my mouth, I found the texture offputting, and they were quite pricey. The nutritional profile is nothing to remark over either. One container has three servings, with 45 calories per serving, 1 gram of fiber, and 1 gram of protein. I will never buy these again.
Snack: Tokyo Style Curry Popcorn
Purchased at: World Market
Price: $1.60
Repeat Purchase: In the blink of an eye
My love for curry is as real as my love for this popcorn! My only complaint is that they didn’t have it in a bigger bag. I would have crushed it. I got this from World Market when they were doing a sale on their Asian food products. I wish I had bought more than one bag. I know, I’m slipping. I’ll do better next time. The bag is one serving and it has 100 calories, 2 grams of fiber, and 2 grams of protein.
Snack: Tokyo Style Toasted Seaweed Popcorn
Purchased at: World Market
Price: $1.60 (sale price)
Repeat Purchase: NoTo be completely fair, I’m not a toasted seaweed person so I’m not sure why I decided to buy toasted seaweed popcorn. Keeping that in mind, this actually wasn’t bad. And if toasted seaweed is your thing then you’ll probably quite enjoy this. It just wasn’t my exact cup of tea. Nutritionally, it’s pretty similar to the curry popcorn. The bag is the serving and it has 120 calories, 2 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of protein.
Which one of these would you be most interested in trying? Tell me in the comments.
