Does anybody know where that no white after Labor Day rule came from? I personally think it’s a myth. I mean, what’s the justification behind it? White looks just as good on my chocolate skin on the day before Labor Day as it does the day after:) And if you want to get technical, it’s always after Labor Day because there’s the Labor Day from the season before. So then when can you wear your white?? The answer: any time you feel like it. If it’s clean and you feel good in it, wear it! I got this jumpsuit from TJ Maxx for a steal, like $40. Between the all white and the cut-outs I was in love. Jumpsuits are my jam and an all white one is not to be missed:)
How was your weekend though? I finally looked into diploma framing options on Saturday. I quickly got a harsh dose of reality when I found out how expensive it is to frame them. Like, seriously?!
I checked out two places – Hobby Lobby and a local framing shop and I was floored when they told me the total. It didn’t help that I ended up picking a lot of the pricier options but still. I wasn’t mentally prepared lol. I’m going to check out Michaels too but for the time being I may put my framing aspirations on hold. Fiscal responsibility is real and I have some other big purchases planned for the near future like an armoire/wardrobe for my bedroom.
I’ve had my current bedroom furniture for awhile (actually since I first moved to Atlanta in 2011). It’s served me well but it’s a little dated so I’m donating it to Salvation Army and giving my bedroom a refresh. I haven’t found an armoire I like just yet, but from the options I have found I know it’s going to be cheap. I’ve been checking places like Joss and Main, Wayfair, Overstock, and Houzz, but if you know of any other places with affordable options (that deliver!), let me know!
